On August 16, classes for the new term began at the Center. This term, classes are being offered in computers, conversational English, reading and writing, sports and sewing. All classes for the current term filled up very quickly. The Center is currently serving over fifty students, many of whom are taking more than one class at the center. Through the new classes being offered, there have been many new members of the community come to the center to sign up for classes and find out more information.Sports has opened up avenues to many new groups of refugees. With such a diverse ethnic and religious mix there can often be fear and discrimination between groups, but on the basketball court, all that matters is if you can get the ball into the hoop!
